Feline Foodology: Gourmet beef liver treats by Pet Munchies
Today's Feline Foodology post is about cat treats - particularly the treats that were in the CatPacks Starter Pack. There's nothing Cookie & Pipps love more than treats. Maybe naps. Well, come to think of it that's not true - a brief treat bag rattle wakes them up even from the deepest of slumbers! Cookie & Pippin don't like just any treats though. These picky little tongues love the best quality treats - no Dreamies to be seen here.

🐮 Gourmet beef liver treats by Pet Munchies

I can't even begin to tell you how fancy these Pet Munchies treats are! They are 92.2% beef liver - it can't get much better than that! They are grain, salt & gluten free and naturally low in fat. Because of the unique freeze drying process used to make these, they retain a lot of the original protein, vitamins and minerals and also a lot of the original flavour. Yeah, they stink a bit but that only makes them more 'real' & similar to what cats eat in their natural habitat, don't they. Pet Munchies have very quickly (VERY quickly - there's none left!) become one of our favourite treats so far!

Ingredients: Beef liver (min 92.2%), vegetable protein
Analytical components: Crude protein 60%, crude fat 4%, crude fibre 1%, crude ash 6.5%, moisture 8%
Price: £1.29 for 10g

You can get these treats on VetUK for just £0.75 right now (buy here), PetSupermarket (buy here) or Monster Pet Supplies have the chicken liver version (here).

To learn more about proper cat food you can grab a copy of Jenny's book Cats off the Carbs here - it's a great little guide if you're looking to start feeding your cat a proper food! And just to reiterate (and give you an example of what kind of information you can find in the book) - a good cat food is
High in animal protein
Moderate in fat
Low in carbohydrates
What are you feeding your cats at the moment?
Have you ever tried reading the labels & deciphering what they mean?

💭 Totally not sponsored - Jenny was kind enough to share her book Cats off the Carbs with me (thank you!) however all the picky feline habits, beany toesies and stinky toots after eating too much beef liver are our very own.

💭 I don't claim to be an expert in cat food - all my knowledge is gathered from Jenny's book, the internets and my own personal experience, however I'm genuinely hoping this series will help others understand the importance of proper cat food.
