Can we just admit it straight away? Most bloggers (or just girls in general?) happen to have a hoarding tendency. Not all the time, but throughout their lives, there is a high chance that this little obsession is going to happen. Hoarding can take a number of forms, from hoarding lipsticks and nail polishes, to hoarding books or clothes. And if you are not a hoarder yourself, you will find at least one in your family. I guess it's because people are just naturally greedy, at least in the very very depth of their nature. Now, moving together with your boyfriend might look like a fairly simple thing - you just get a place & bring all your stuff together. Oh no, trust me, it's not like that. Especially when you've got a clash of two hoarders. And one of the hoarders is from a family with great hoarding history (thanks Dad!). I've already given you a few tips how to hoard successfully in small places, but now I'm gonna be movin into a real (fairly big) flat with the boyfriend, it's time to think how to hoard without having the excuse of a small hall room (because tiny rooms like that always look more full & messy and you can't do much about it, right?).

Apart from boxes, baskets and other tiny yet effective storage, the best thing in my eyes that you can do to keep the living spaces looking clean and airy yet full of your crap (smartly hidden!) is the use of storage walls. One large piece of furniture in the right colour, right shape and right design for your flat keeps the room more 'clean' looking rather than a few little bits and bobs floating around the room, me thinks. Above, I've picked a few storage walls from IKEA which I quite like. I'm pretty impressed by the idea of the top right one - you can hide your telly in it - yes! So although my boyfriend spends 25 hours a day playing Fifa '13, I can still pretend we are a very intellectual telly-less couple when our friends come around as we just close the telly cupboard, aha! Below there are quite a few images I found via Archiproducts - architecture & design website. Beautiful rooms!

I think the mounted wall storage looks absolutely brilliant in both living rooms & in bedrooms and can give the place such a lovely modern twist! My favourite is the red/white one at the very end and the one right above it - clean white reflecting surfaces - nothing says 'no harder living here' more than that! If you're after special storage wall service, you can have a look at Brava Lifestyle Interiors. It's one of those companies that offers 'fits your space' service - as in, whatever your space is, they come & measure it and you get the perfect storage wall made exactly for your room. There are more details available in their leaflet.
