The 21st century protocol goes: women love flowers, women love getting flowers and women love buying flowers. We're not that old school anymore to wait for a bloke to turn up on a white horse with a bunch of fresh peonies. We just grab them on the way out of Marks & Sparks, carefully stashing them in the jute bag full of avocados, wholegrain pasta and Eclairs. And if you try to tell me you don't like flowers then - stop and REALLY think about it again.
Not gonna lie, Valentine's Day is the perfect occasion for even more flowers than we manage to stash on the more average days of the year.
