▪️ an old wooden serving tray (mine is this one from Asda but you can get a cheaper one from IKEA)
▪️ black furniture paint (mine is Rust-Oleum Satin Finish Furniture Paint Carbon 750ml
▪️ Polyurethane top coat (I love this 400ml Polyurethane Clear Gloss
▪️ large painting brush
▪️ PVA glue (this one from Hobbycraft is just £1)
▪️ wallpaper of choice (mine is this gorgeous flamingo one from eBay)

🌿 First of all you need to paint your tray. I used THIS matte black paint by Rust-Oleum, the same I used for the bone inlay tray.
🌿 Measure your flamingo wallpaper and cut out the outline of the bottom of your tray. Make sure you cut out a slightly smaller sheet than what the actual bottom of your tray is as the PVA glue will stretch it slightly.
🌿 Apply glue on the bottom of the tray - try to do this as evenly as possible.
🌿 Place the wallpaper.
🌿 Take either a piece of cloth, dry sponge or just your hand and push out all bubbles that are under the wallpaper. It doesn't matter if a little bit of glue comes out, it dries clear anyways.
🌿 Wait until completely dry.
🌿 Brush on a coat of the PVA glue on the top of the wallpaper.
🌿 Once completely dry give your tray a coat of Polyurethane finish spray!
