Not gonna lie - finding really nice delicious cat treats is nowhere as difficult as it is finding a proper cat food (both dry & wet!). And since taste testing of all sorts of treats have become somewhat a hobby of Cookie & Pippi I've fallen into a habit of picking up treats left and right whenever I venture out of the house. Most of them are just wonderful - full of succulent meats and sometimes that's even all there is - no additives, just mouth-watering deliciousness. Just sometimes they happen to be a little disappointing - like those Mini Duck Nibbles by Wainwright's they tried a few weeks ago, meh! The most recent discovery are these Chicken & Cheese Duo Bits by Natural Nosh - hopefully they taste just as nice as they look!
🧀 Chicken & Cheese Duo Bites by Natural Nosh
Natural Nosh treats are made in China and distributed by Rosewood Pet Products from Shropshire. The company pride themselves in using the finest cuts of 100% natural meat, low in fat and a rich source of natural protein. There's absolutely no question about how delicious these treats look - they smell super cheesy and are very soft too (so they slide right into Pippi's belly!). Looking at the ingredients they do contain overwhelming 71% of chicken which if brilliant. There is a small percentage of wheat flour and corn starch (altogether making up for 20%) which is not ideal but considering these are just treats (as opposed to wet or dry food) it's not an absolute disaster. There's only 5% of cheese which is a little disappointing considering they are called chicken AND cheese bites but who are we to complain with such a large amount of good quality chicken! Overall these are pretty delicious and don't contain anything unexpected. The only thing I find slightly disappointing about these is that they are made in China. Why? I'm all for supporting local businesses and would be much happier if the company was producing these in Shropshire.

And just to reiterate (and give you an example of what kind of information you can find in the book) - a good cat food is

What are you feeding your cats at the moment?
Have you ever tried reading the labels & deciphering what they mean?
💠Totally not sponsored - Jenny was kind enough to share her book Cats off the Carbs with me (thank you!) however all the picky feline habits, beany toesies and stinky toots after eating too much of cheese bites are our very own.
💠I don't claim to be an expert in cat food - all my knowledge is gathered from Jenny's book, the internets and my own personal experience, however I'm genuinely hoping this series will help others understand the importance of proper cat food.
