Have you booked your Valentine's Day dinner table yet? No?! Oh dear. Not gonna lie, you might have just a few hours left to do it before all restaurants in Birmingham reach the VD bottleneck. To make your life easier here's a run down of my favourite restaurants offering Valentine's Day specials. GO GO GO!
When: 14th February

Pushkar is my absolute favourite curry place in Birmingham - no wonder as they received an award for the ‘Best Midlands Restaurant’ at the British Curry Awards 2016! Their curry is seriously to die for (you know you have a problem when you book a date in your calendar for it a month in advance) so if you're a Balti fan then head this way!
🍴 🍷 Annexe
When: 14th February

It can hardly get any more romantic than booking a table at Birmingham's most romantic restaurant! Enjoy a candlelit dinner at Annexe - the menu features gems like grilled figs (there's an ever so slim chance they will be even more delicious than my baked figs), white crab & a chocolate fondant. I might have just dribbled as I typed that. Oops.
🍴 🍷The Lobby on Hill Street
When: 10th & 11th February
See Valentine's Day menu here
Want to pop somewhere fancy for a glass or two but don't really want to commit to a full dinner (no one wants to be stuck at a fancy dinner table with a Tinder date you should have swiped left on, right)? The Lobby on Hill Street might have just the answer for you. They are serving glasses of champagne & Antipasti sharing platters!
🍴 🍷 The Jekyll & Hyde
When: 9th-11th & 14th February
See Valentine's Day menu here
For a bit of a quirkier feel you might want to try The Jekyll & Hyde gin parlour. The bar itself is just gorgeous - with Victorian decor throughout, butterfly prints, old school gramophones and all things vintage and charming. And yes, there are mussels on their menu. You can read my full review of the parlour here.
🍴 🍷 Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill
When: 10th-11th & 14th February
See Valentine's Day menu here
Definitely at the higher end of your Valentine's Day dinner spending budget however I think some would pay just for the view itself! You can see the whole Birmingham from the top of the Cube - and having a romantic dinner there just adds to the charm.
🍴 🍷 Cafe Rouge
When: 10th-14th February
See Valentine's Day menu here
We all know that I have a soft spot for Cafe Rouge & their Confit de Canard. Their Valentine's menu looks damn delicious - salmon rillettes, Poulet Breton and Rum Baba! Even if it's just for a quick lunch in-between work on the 14th, Cafe Rouge won't disappoint. You can read my full review here.
🍴 🍷 San Carlo
When: 14th February
See Valentine's Day menu here
Another slightly more fancy option for you is San Carlo on Temple Street. They are located right in the city centre just a 2 minute walk from New Street. And their Valentine's menu offers dishes like a giant Madagascan prawn, a 24 months matured ham and a North Pacific Halibut. If that doesn't sound fancy then what does!
