Last week we've kicked off the Feline Foodology series - a series of posts where our little fluffy butts Cookie & Pipps taste & trial various cat foods in quest for the most delicious, most nutritious and most natural cat food out there. 🍤 Gimpet ShinyCat Chicken with Prawns

ShinyCat is yet another discovery from my recent trip to Prague - pretty much everything in the PetCentre stores was either made or endorsed by the company called Gimpet (I assume this is a brand under the PetCentre pet food maker umbrella, sometimes you can also find it as Gimcat). These tins are ever so small (70g each) however they are packed with proper cat food. They smell delicious and even look appealing (as compared to Felix pouches - sorry not sorry). You could pick out the chicken and the prawns and you wouldn't hesitate to eat it all after a long day at work (I promise you I haven't tried but have been very tempted!). There is a little bit of salt (potassium chloride) added to the food however that is just to preserve the ingredients. These tins also contain very little fat which is incredibly important for indoor cats like Cookie & Pippi. Overall a fancy little snack for the kitties, both Cookie & Pipps have been rather impressed with this brand so far (read their review of HuHuBamboo cat treats - they are from the same parent company).

Ingredients: Chicken 38.6%, prawns 4.5%, potassium chloride
Analytical components: Protein 12%, moisture content 86.5%, fat 0.5%, fiber 1%, crude ash 1%
Price: About £1.50 for 2 tins

We have also tried their Chicken with Papaya and Tuna with Catnip. Delicious! (Cookie & Pipps said that, not me okay).
