Hey, there's a new burger in town! And it's a tasty little bugger, that one is! You can find this cheeky git & a merry bunch of others in the newly refurbished Gourmet Burger Kitchen in Birmingham's Mailbox (find out more here). I can't even tell you how excited I am to see the new Mailbox taking shape - it has been strangely unsettling to see such a massive complex which used to be full of night life all quieten down and let's be honest - left out of the Birmingham spotlight for a while. Can't for for all the new restaurants and mainly the new cinema to open, yes!
As you might have guessed, one of the newly refurbished places in the Mailbox is the GBK - Gourmet Burger Kitchen which sits right at the canal entrance to the complex. The GBK offers the most delicious comfort food you could imagine - tasty burgers (and let me tell you - they are waaaay better than the TGI Friday's ones, shhhh!), milkshakes with crazy flavours such as Nutella and Oreo and even peanuts to make the waiting for your burger a little more bearable! Just to give you a little taster of what the burgers at the GBK are like - I ordered a Camemburger - the most amazing beef burger in a soft (but not too soft so it would crumble) bun with a hash brownie, yummy sauce and a whole load of Camembert. What a fancy shmancy delicacy that was - yet it was a belly rubbing burger!
This is definitely not the last time you've seen me in the GBK, I'm already planning my return, dribbling over their online menu here.
