Jacava London is a brand you probably have not heard about yet - it's only just getting big in the UK. It's a company producing non-toxic polishes with a unique 8-free formula, that means free from DBP, Camphor, Formaldehyde, Toluene, Cellophane, Parabens, Phthalates and animal ingredients. Impressive.
The design of the bottle is beautiful & pretty unique (very very far from the industrial looking Essie bottles), and it's that sort of bottle you want to keep on your dressing table rather than to hide it away (storage with these lids is a pain anyways!) - oh, and apparently they are using 22 carat gold on the labels? Fancy shmancy! The colour I picked is Passion. A gorgeous deep fuchsia with a berry undertone - perfect for the upcoming autumn season! I'm not exactly picky when it comes to nail polish in a way that I would think too deeply into brush sizes and how long it takes one, two, three coats to dry - but there's one thing that absolutely thrilled me about this little gem - you only need ONE COAT. 1 coat. Yes. Which I thought was pretty shocking considering that it's free from all sorts of chemicals (which I assumed were the thing to make the nail polish opaque and long-lasting and everything you wish it was but usually isn't). See the swatches above? One coat. And it translates even better on real nails. How flippin' world-changing?!
You can get Jacava nail polish in selected salons in the UK or online on the Jacava website. You can also order a nail polish swatch for 50p which I think is quite a useful concept!
